The palm oil industry is one of Indonesia's key foreign exchange earners and it is the world's largest producer and exporter of palm oil. The Indonesian construction industry is currently benefitting from significant foreign investment and international partnerships, which have led to large improvements in the sector’s capacity, expertise and overall capability. At the same time, the oil and gas sectors – vital contributors to the country’s economy – are facing challenges from increased production costs and lack of adequate technology.
